Hello All,

Just wanted to share some pictures of some very rare, hardly ever seen before Piranha that I am trying to bring in from my Colombian exporter. Seems they may be some kind of Black Pygocentrus Nattereri.

Hope you like them.

Dont worry, that was the first thing I thought but the collectors say they catch them this colour all year round and all sizes. Also the dealers holding them say they never loose this colour and sometime they have them in stock for some weeks.

Also, there are variants of P.cariba in Colombia that are almost black and there have been catches of these fish pictured above before, but not for a long time.

Dude that is just a normal looking natt in breedig colors. Are you sure that they are always like that?
thats the first thing i thought too

I don't know, but super fish anyways.....What are we talking about here for a 3-4 incher, maybe $60(hope not)....My pairs look exactly like that when breeding...But if you know what you're talking about, then let's get some over here(USA) asap....

If they stayed black I would be all over them. Breeding colors or not black pygos are the sh*t. :headbang2

Those are some evil looking fish! Awesome!
