WHOA nice eel. WOuld they be alright in a 55? I was thinking about getting a snowflake, but thats pretty cool.

A snowflake doesn't get very big. It should be fine in a 55. The true snowflake, Echidna nebulosa, gets generally 2-3 feet. A great rule of thumb is to allow 10 gallons of water for every four inches of eel. The 'Freshwater' Moray, Gymnothorax tile, is even smaller and more reclusive.

I have found that eels need a place to hide, most importantly. The biggest reason that I have found for the extra space, is that they are healthier in a biological environment that can keep up to them. If you enjoy feeding your eel every day, you'll soon realize how much they deficate. They only need to eat around 3 times a week. If you don't mind plenty of water changes, the eel is great. Eels are my favorite, so I don't mind doing a 50% change when needed. Lately, I've only had to do it once a week.

He's very pleasent to the eye. My wife is getting tired of me getting all excited every time he comes out. But I have to say, the zebra is much more mezmorizing to see swim.
