Well, can I chim in? They came in young looking pretty slim, but I recently netted 2 out of the pond and their bodies have gotten taller as well, but with nice green color and yellow tail! I have a large putitora that is long and slim. If the ones I got last year were indeed no putitora, then its even more of a myth to what they reall are. Wait until I get pictures of mine or you get better picture of yours.

by all means wes :D, i was really waiting on your input. what do you think of there maybe being sub-species? because their really is only a handful of different pictures of putitora on the internet. not really much for us to go by

well there are always those pics and vids catching long slender golden 50lbers straight from the river, those putitora looks great. and i read somewhere mosal and putitora is synonym , can't see that in any case as mosal got red tail and putitora got yellow tail o.O but we can at least agree they are both from india : )

The whole Tor genus really needs some revision. It is apparent that many separate species probably should be "lumped" together, while others may need to be "split". My sole putitora has both red and yellow in his tail!

Very nice pics. :D They look about as clear as what mine look like!
