This is my Jing Kang Flowerhorn, Egghead. I am in Orlando, Florida. $250 firm, pickup only. I care too much about this fish to ship him. Especially this time of year. I have the right to refuse sale to anyone without proper housing and/or knowledge of fish. Again, I care a great deal for this fish.
Info on Egghead;
10 inches from tip to tip/ 2.5 years old / Fat
Eats krill, bloodworms, extreme pellets, beef heart, and any cichlid over 7 inches. He doesn't attack anything smaller than him. I have 2 inch cichlids in the tank he doesn't even look at. I even have a red claw crab in with him. But, anything close to his size will get eaten or chased out of the tank.
My other fish are starting to get to the 7" mark and he is starting to attack them, so I think It's time to let someone else enjoy him.
For those of you wondering, this is the one that was on display at Fishy Business for a few weeks (Those of you living in the area).
-He does not have bloat-
( A bacterial infection in the stomach that causes the fish not be able to eat or poop. The stomach grows until it dies from infection.)
I say this, because when he was at the store he did not eat food or poop solid for the whole two and a half weeks he was there (but was still very active). We were still worried, so we treated him with Metronitezol with no luck. So I decided to take him home to pass in his tank. He is currently eating AND pooping on a daily basis, and has been ever since I brought him back from the store a month ago. It was stress, I believe, that was the case. Going from a 240g into a 60g surrounded by people and no hiding spots must have done it. He has a very large stomach (you can see in the pics) which he has had his "entire" life. Also, the pics I took were right after I fed him,so the belly is a little bigger ( I feed him alot).I included a picture of him eating. I also stood there for almost 10 minutes waiting for him to poop to get a picture of it(he poops after eating). He squeezed 2 nuggets out and as I grabbed the camera to turn it on, they dropped off. I was needles to say upset. All that standing, and no payoff. I will try to get another picture, but for now if you are interested you may come over and watch him eat and poo in person.
first half of pics are in his tank, taken today. The other half with the measuring tape are from when he was at the store.
Serious inquiries only! You must have a good sized tank.
He loves that beefheart!
Sorry for the long read and the amount of pics.
