ya he got messed up by my bichir, that tank hes in is a grow-out/hospital tank so he'll be good in time he was much worse a bit ago

Who cares if they are messed up, great fish anyway. How large do those filament barbs get? Why are they called that? I've seen some for sale, but didn't think much about them till now. Very cool fish!

man o man theyre awesome when they get bigger bro....im not positive but i think they get like 6-7 inches when mature...a LFS has some at 5" and theyre amazing looking...theyre also called green mascara barbs for the reason that they get a really neon bright green color on theyre scales when bigger...pick some up for real!!
