Johnnys Right?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
For some reason it hasn't affected me, I see posts about problems but the site and threads are still there.

Really? Everyone can still see threads and posts but a lot of people's info is gone, avatars have been reset, and a lot of usernames show up differently. For example instead of divemaster99, it'd say Guest_divemaster99_*

Kind of derailing my own thread (lol) but instead of posting another one this is easier. Any ideas on these IDs? I'm fairly positive that 1 is a white sucker, 2 are mimic shiners, and 3 is a Bluntnose minnow but I want to be positive. 2 is giving me the most trouble since sand, mimic, and river shiners look SO similar.

1) collected in local creek, southwest PA (sorry for the bad pics, he never stops moving :))

Number 2 looks a shiner of some sort, i am not that familiar with the fishes of your area number 1 is probably a white sucker, number 3 might be a spot tailed shiner.

One more. Got it in a tank full of feeder shrimp for $1.98. I'm about 99% Gambusia but not positive. Whatever it is it's STUFFED with fry and I think I saw a few new borns in the feeder tank. Put it in a 20H (24"x12"x16") with the Johnny darters and it's extremely active, won't stop moving, kind of freaks my darters out so I might move the Johnnys to my swamp tank if it keeps freaking them out, thinking it's just because it just got added to a tank where there's not a dozen ghost shrimp in the water column going after it.

And another few. I really can't tell whether female gambusia or female guppy. It's about 1.5" maybe 1.75".
