I have recently been in contact with john d johnson kennels and I was wanting to buy one of their puppies. I would like to know what other Johnson Bulldog owners have to say about this breed

They're great dogs. I have a 5 month old and can honestly say he is the most well mannerd puppy I have ever had(irish setter, rott, pit, golden ret/yel lab). He knew how to sit, speak, lay, shake, and play dead by the time he was 12 weeks and was potty trained just about instantly, the few times he has gone in the house is our fault, and is the most well behaved dog in his puppy class. He has 2 girlfriends in the class, an english bulldog and a border terrier, they're about the size of his head and climb all over him biting at his jowels and he plays so delicately with them.
I don't have a door leading to the backyard at the house, all I have to do is open the my door and he goes right to the backyard and does his thing and comes right back to the door, I mostly go with him though(unless I'm in my skippies), they aren't known for straying away from the yard but it can happen.
Wasn't my first choice as the next dog but my girlfriends friend has the parents and she fell in love with him when he was just a few days old. I wanted an English Mastiff but am not dissappointed one bit about getting Moose;)
I'm also getting a female, I pick up Sugar on the 17th(but I may wait till the 23rd).
I can go on and on about how great mine is... but I'll just say... if god created dogs to be man's best friend, then he certainly has an American Bulldog sitting beside him(sounds cheesy, I know).

Man it sounds like you have a very nice bulldog. I think I will go a head and get her. Thanks for the help. Do you have any pics?

we do not see them in Europe.

Would love to own one.

Lol... sorry about my post... I could of just said he's a smart, loyal, and loving dog, but I just get carried away at times.
I have a thread with plenty of pics, just search my threads... don't mind the "help moose" thread, my girl made it and for some reason MFK won't let me delete it.
Just remember how important it is to socialize the puppy when you get her, Moose goes everywhere with us and frequents the dog park alot.

They are wonderful dogs and quality bred. Temperment is stable and consistant. I just recently found one I am 90% sure is a Johnson that is in need of rescue, unfortunently for me I am really looking for a female because my male pomeranian isn't overly happy sharing the house with other males. If you want to do a rescue check Goliath out on Petfinder - http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/18450909?rvp=1

You are getting your puppy from the kennel that pretty much brought the American Bulldog to the popularity it has today. Should be a wonderful pup.

great dogs,a freind of mine does security training for dogs and he owns two, they are the best trained security dogs i have seen and are absolutley loyal to him and his kids.
