i have alway said it a wolf will own any fish that tries it on with it even a snake head, an attack from below and the other fish aint got a chance and the speed of the strike is soo quick it will not give the other fish a chance. I will never trust a wolf fish with any other fish, may be ok for months years then suddenly you start to see damage to the other fish and then its too late.

I am basing the ID on what my LFS have told me, They are usually good with ID's. It was caught in Guinea, The fish on Fishbase looks like my fish.

This is my first fish of this family. Currently in with a mixture of fish including Botia, Nandus and a female Victorian Cichlid. I have had no aggresion what so ever although I have heard they may be when larger. Currently about 13". Not as active as I had hoped. My plan will be an 8' 360G african biotype with an ATF and maybe some Poly's. I would say more nocturnal than durinal although when I had him in a much larger tank he was quite active. Currently eating earthworms.

Can't wait to get him in the big setup.

Anything that eats cichlids is  in my book.
Seriously though nice find. I wasnt never a huge morymid fan, but recently they have intrigued me. Good luck with him. She's uh... pretty good looking face, but I'm just getting really... just kinda TO'd because... I mean she hasn't even sent me a full body shot yet.
