anyone else ever introduce a puppy to an older dog.. any tips.. that you remember.?
depends from one dog to another

like recently we added a lab(6 month old ) to the family

we already had 2 german shepherds, one is (spyke) 7 years and the other (tyson) is nearly 4 years

spyke doesn't like us petting any of the other dogs.
he will try to pick fights.

tyson has learned to play with the new lab, no problems at all.

so spyke stays in the parking area all the time, and the other two stay in the garden area. gotta be careful else like once spyke did some real damage to the new lab.

nice

In the second to last pic was the dobie's NUB wagging a hundred miles and hour and then it nudges the ball?

Thats what mine do. They like get this serious stance about them, but there nubs are wagging real fast and then they nudge the ball the other one is playing with and they then play chase around the yard. Only to return to the ball and take turns.

Heh - I have a 6 yr old bichon & a 2 yr old maltese(laughable I know), but its the size of the dog in the fight! Both are female. It took several days & some careful intro for the pup to learn her boundries around the more experienced adult dog, but they are inseprable now. Are both of yours female as well?
very good... my older dog {dobie} age 6, is female and pup is male.. i read everywhere it is easier if both are opposite sex..

yes thats why i take it slow...so far i have no problems handling the pup in front of the dobes... she is accepting that... when i walk the puppy out back the dobes does whine because she want to come out too.. but when i am on a business call i do not want disruptions... once she is let out with us she runs around at high speeds... puppy would love to run with her..
