Did read previously about your mishap...... Very sorry that you've had to go through all of that. Something very similar happened to my uncle and it is and extremely slow and often painful recovery...... Wish you the best and glad that this site and all of us crazies ( :headbang2 ) has helped occupy your time!!! It will get better!!!

ahh you are a sweetie thank you!

I wouldn't mind having an industrial accident of my own... I am always looking for ways to get more time to spend with my wet pets. Plus the upside to crutches or a wheel chair is that you get a RIPPED upper body. The ladies dig that.

Get will soon

The upper body strength is true but the downside is your lower body muscles diminish very quickly!!! I was on crutches for over a month after having foot surgery (have 2 screws in my right foot) and walking again was very difficult!!! The fact that your getting PT will make this process a lot easier for you though. Mine was just a minor surgery so after my cast was removed all I had to do therapy wise was work on flexing my my muscles that enabled me to bend my toes. They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger so you'll be one tough motha---- by the time your done! :) Try not to let it bring you down. I know it's easier said than done but things always work out in the end!!!

mines kinda messed had the nerve disorder for a year painfull but they have to fuse my toes so they cant move but they cant untill my nerve disorder goes away when that is ??? the phyios just to keep me healthy had a stroke from the meds they kept trying on me the insursance board is worried i'll sue so at least i am getting the best care

Yeah, you got to be careful with meds!!! That's awful!!! If you are on anything other than what is prescribed for your foot pain, make sure what you are given can be combined with them safely. Quite a few drugs do not interact very well with each other. I actually have spent the last couple years working in Skilled Nursing facilities as their Admissions Director. I strongly suggest buying "The Pill Book." For someone that is not familiar with meds it is very easy to understand and will let you know everything you need to know. Almost like a pill encyclopedia...... I don't take anything with out looking it up.... Just a suggestion! :)

thx i do research my meds my prob was they tryed a new anti seizure med on me after having a stroke they decided seizure drug number 2 had servere side effects from that so now they know now not to give me nerve meds I use a mild antidepresssent to sleep but that dont work thats why you see posts by me at all hours of the morning..

sorry to hear the bad luck hope all will get better,,ive only been in this MFK couple months but if you need a good laugh this is the place. and help with fish too :headbang2 :woot: :headbang2

I know how you feel bro,I just recieved my second bulging disc in 2 years,my Doc wants to do surgury, said i would be out at least 3 monthes, but i just bought my second house 7 monthes ago,2 mortgage payments 2 car payments plus insurance just cant lose the time.I cant really take painkillers cause i drive a truck for a living, been hitting good ol Jack Daniels a little too hard lately for the pain.Of course i dont drink and drive(just lost my best friend to a D.U.I driver)but i am really going out of my mind.I feel like an 80 yr old man(am only 40). :(
