Oddball;3405347; said:You would think these bites would have been cause enough to separate the trio. Your turts are still very young and haven't fully developed their aggressiveness. As they mature and become stronger, the bites will result in missing toes, damaged carapace edges, and worse. I had to put down a female because another slightly larger female tore her lower jaw nearly completely off. My 'experiment' included 2M and 2F FRTs in a 650gal.
Such an experiment may not be in the best interest of these animals especially in light of the number of adverse reports on sites such as this one.

This isn't going to end well and we all know it.

i also agree with oddball. this is definitely not my permanent plan.
once they are bigger, which is in around another year's time, i will definitely rent a big pond for them. this tank is not even suitable for one mature FRT. how can it house 3 of them?
i definitely won't let anything go wrong with any one of them. i know how precious these turtles are and i still have to account to their previous owners if anything happen to them since i adopted 2 of them from others.
if within the next few days/weeks there are more injuries i will definitely separate them.
i'm prepared to separate them anytime once strong aggression shown by any of the FRTs.
