As ussual I post my warning......"New comers to the hubby don't try this combo at home. I just ended up with an unusualy gentle Midas".
Jr is really taken off since Pepper has be moved out of the tank to a new home in a 225g. His hump has also gotten abit larger and he has put on some more girth since he spends less time keeping Pepper pinned and more time eating. I honestly think he will never have a huge hump which I am fine with. As long as he has a porportional one thats all that matters to me. His fins look so small since his body is so thick. It reminds me of my old male O.J(My avatar Midas)......RIP big guy
The school of Mollies are gone and now I have a beautiful school of platies. Got rid of the Mollies because the males were non stop fighting and killing each other. Can't beleive the most aggression in ther tank was from Mollies. Also have fixed it so the clown loaches can't get in the logs, but they still like to stalk and hide among the driftwood, plants, and mini caves in the driftwood with the 4 Cory Cats. As you can see, Jr still could care less about the other fish which I am sure will soon figure out just like the betta and plecos he could care less. Plants are also thriving. The one in the back is HUGE and is everyone's favorite hiding spot. It's amazing how the Cory Cats and Clown loaches will be hidden until the last momment, then when I start wondering where they are they appear. Here is the current stock,
1 - 11" Male Midas
4 - Emerald Green Cory Cats
7 - Clown loaches
12 - Platies(Not counting the babies)
9 - Albino Bristle nose Plecos
1 - Male Betta
