Judging a fh's potential?

Ok. Being my first fh I'm glad to have all the advice. I will be picking up my good camera tomorrow (in for repairs) and start documenting the development and posting it. I hate posting grainy phone pics. Thanks for the the input!!
 
Ok. Got my camera back and snapped some pics. Pay no attention to the algae in the background!! I can't complain about his color but would be nice to see a bigger kok!

i give it a 5.5/10 but it doesnt look too good in the KOK department. at 4" it should usually have a lil more than that for a massive potential. dont feel bad i have a huge 2 year old female low grade ZZ also i got for like 3 bucks from a LFS, she has a pretty big KOK tho lol for a girl. i also have a 3-4" male that looks a tad nicer with a tad bigger KOK i got at a descent price from another lfs.

i am ultimately waiting for cam to get those KML's from julie so i can have some sweet ace ones at a good price.

Yeah, me too! I ordered 5. 3 For me and 2 for a friend. My rd could be female. I would like a male with a good lump but will be happy with a fem. too.
 
ya or how about one of those KML's with a red tex! :drool:
 
I think I'm going to take it slow with the fh thing. I love the way way red tex look. I just don't want to bite off more than I can chew. I'm gonna grow out my kml's and keep the "pick of the litter! I'll go from there.
 
Yea, just take it slow.. Don't end up buying more & more fish just to end up neglecting the others.. I've done that & regretted till now..
