I found an old rapps thread from 09 his Minas Gerias kelbs were 35$!!!!!!!

Rareness of kelberi's and supply and demand.

If I remember correctly, the reason price was low on that one batch, because fisherman was not sure if they're Kelberi, since they were imported in at 2in, not 5-6in like 1st and 2nd batch. I believe Shark Aquarium had them in as Mono or Occel. Only few people who knows about pbass took the plunge. The rest was just sit and wait, and once they grew out to be Kelberi, they expect every Kelberi will be $35.00
