jumping aros

due to stress coz they are patrolling water surface,they dun like other fish sharing their surface area territory..
 
I keep my water full too. But when I buy a new fish and transport it in its new tank, I would put a low water level. Then as the fish gets used to his new environment, I would up the water level. I trust them a lot, as aros over there are a lot more popular than over here.
 
Full, heavy heavy lids, especially at the edges. They hit the edges when the middle is weighted and plastic lids give way. This was the only way I figured mine ever even jumped. Lids and weight were tight when I found mine dead on the floor.

Don't give them room to break water, it builds momentum without the drag of the water.
Usual answer-if he's that jumpy, he's saying "Hey Man, BIGGER tank pleeze?"

agree with that. a lid or cover is a must for aros as they're very jumpy fishes.
