jumping aro's

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nope...no one rarely passes by...this the first time he did it.....hes 14 inches in a 155 gal...

if an aro is skittish we usually recommend adding blackwater extract. it somehow would calm the aro down.

i had one last time which got spooked so badly that it trashed itself in the tank. subsequently it refused to eat anything and it affected its growth.

but sadly i lost it due to bad water..... :(

so it's important to keep them calm and confident. it is always recommended to add blackwater when your aro is still young or when you've change its tank position or upgraded its tank for that matter.

you just stated your problems right there

you lost your aro to BAD water.

thats what stressed and thats what killed it in the end.

you do regular water changes like ur suppose to, 50% once or twice a week and keep on maintanence.

you dont need the blackwater unless its still stressed even under good water conditions.

cmon bro your from singapore, the fish capital of the world! :headbang2 you should know that

skittish arowana maybe be due to a lot of reasons as mentioned earlier by our bros. try giving him a tankmate to share the space maybe this could regain his confidence and settle down. this is just my opinion.
