Jumping Arowanas Question

i lost an 8" silver to a 1" hole.never underestimate them.

Yea, not only arowana but other fish too..
Until now I still can't figure out how my 2 inch yellow lab managed to jump out through a tiny hole for aeration tube that leads to another hole at the top of the tank & got all dried up on the floor.. Guess it's just one of the things left unsolved.. lol

Mine jumped last night during a feeding. He was fine but suddenly got spooked and leaped up, out and over the side of the tank and fell to the floor after a 5 ft drop. I threw him back in the tank and he was fine. He lost a few scales. They're surface dwellers and have a natural genetic code that says, "Jump for food and to escape danger."

Single or multiple ...arowanas jump.... put a weight on the top.. if he is small tape up all holes.. no matter how insignificant... they manage to jump through... good luck.. as long as you are aware... and do this.. your arow will be fine..

Yea, ive had my 6" aro jump out of a tiny 2x1 hole i had for the filter. Almost had a heart attack when that happened
