They are, and I thought about Congo’s, but I want something with just a bit more size. Not looking for dovi size lol but something in the 4” to 6” range that school well. I’m not opposed to keeping natives either. I’ve toyed with the idea of gold shiners also.
How do you feel about something hard to find yet beautiful?

Those are nice! School well and hit the right size. They are a serious contender for sure! Thanks for all the suggestions! I’ve got some deciding to do now.

The two fish I’ve shown you on that site are gems, won’t find them in many places and there are 6 left each. Used to be over 10 each a few months ago.

The middle picture? It’s a Red Irian rainbowfish. I have two. Love them guys. Depending on the light and their mood they look anywhere from sparkling maroon/black to bright red. And if you look down on them from the top of the tank they have what looks like a neon orange strip going from their nose down their back.
The only down side to them was the hefty $25 each price tag. Hence I only have two. Lol
