jumping in...first piranha and a few questions

eh what the hell I'll bump this thread too. The elong is doing great, eats like a champ, stares at me with evil eyes any time I'm in my room lol. I switched from black water tea to filling a dress sock with peat moss every couple weeks and putting in the strainer bucket in my sump. Works great and lasts a while.​

haha I prefer the natural feel rather than perfect show tank clarity all the time. Alright I figured he would need a good flow but I wanted to make sure on that. thanks dude

A 125 is plenty for an elong, luxury suite. I have no experience with blackwater tanks, but I would be afraid of your water parameters fluctuating with water changes, which could stress your fish. Piranhas are very adaptable, but the more consistant your water params are, the healthier your fish will be.

Short of a minor swing in PH or something the params cant possibly change that much, I do small changes on his tank, hes the only inhabitant in a big ol' water box haha.
