Sorry for your loss dude. I remember once as a kid, I had a few giant danios. I had them in a bowl while I was cleaning the tank. My mom said, "Hey, there's one missing."
I took a step back and felt the crunch. One in a million shot. I hate it when fish jump. Oscars are real good at that as well.

Yep, had two RTBS jump out in two days. Crunchy. I put one in, next morning, missing. Search to find dried fish. Buy another, same thing next day. Learned my lesson.

I had a large (softball size) albino frog that escaped the tank and was missing for 3 days.. needless to say he was pretty dried out in the corner of a room nearly 35 feet from the tank...

the way i see it, its a good thing that the snakehead jumped. cause thats better then police coming to you house, you getting arrested, and them shooting it or something. theyre illegal in the u.s.

i was doing a water change once, and my needle nose jumped shipped. i think found him on the ground, but it was to late i must have stepped on him because his back was messed up

When I was moving tanks around in my room one time I had 5 bala sharks in a 6 gallon bucket. I turned around facing the bucket and at that very second one of the balas jumped out of the bucket reaching eye level,Im 6ft.by the way, and went straight back down into the bucket. Just awesome. After a stunned couple of seconds I put a lid on the bucket.
