Hi Guys,


The instruction for this medication is vague. It only states that you use 1 tablet per 10 gallons. But it doesnt tell you if you should dose daily or weekly. And it doesnt state for how long you should treat for before you discontinue.

Like Maracyn for instance, it says dose daily for up to 5 days and if needed, dose for 5 more days. But after you have used up these 10 days to not use anymore. This is the kinda info I am looking for with Jungle Labs Parasite clear. Could anyone help? Thanks
 
Here you are.

Wait 48 hours between treatments. Remove activated carbon. Change 25% of the water before each new treatment. For anchor worms, repeat treatment up to three times, once a week, for three weeks. For fish lice, treat once a week for three to five weeks. DO NOT OVERDOSE.

Instructions are a little confusing. Do I dose once a week for 3 weeks, and repeat 3 times? Kinda thrown off with the " wait 48 hours".


Can someone explain the instructions in simpler terms for me?
 
Here's my regiment of QT and medicating.

Week 1: half a dose, at the end of the week do 50% WC
Week 2: FULL DOSE, at the end of the week do 50% WC
Week 3: FULL DOSE, at the end of the week do 50% WC
Week 4: FULL DOSE, at the end of the week do 50% WC
Week 5: Half a dose, at the end of the week do 50% WC
Week 6: NO Meds, run carbon and put the fish back in the main tank at the end of the week.

Never fail, never any problem.....Is 6 weeks necessary ? propably not, but unless you can be 100% sure that the parasite is gone, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I think4 weeks is just enough time to treat all parasite. Given the average life cycle of 4 weeks.

If there is no known problem and you are just treating a new fish or something i allways treat 2 times. So for this I add 1 tablet for each 10g of tank size. And then wait 48 hours and add another tablet for each 10g of tank size. And then do not do a water change for a week. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This is for a hospital tank. If you are treating your main tank then do not follow this regiment. The parasite clear will kill the benificial bacteria in your tank at the package reccommended high doses. If you are treating your main tank then i use half a dose so 1 tablet for each 20 gallons once a week. And do a water change before the next dose. I do this for a month.
