Strip the tanks down and use the glass to build sumps.

Not a bad idea but I don't thnk I will need a sump that's 55 gal for a long time. My next tank will be hopefully 180-240 and the next after that is going to be somewhere around 1K

And I like the rubbermaid sumps. simple and easy.

If your good at cutting glass(or you can bring it somewhere to be cut) use the old glass to make lids for other tanks.

some ppl use tanks that cant hold water anymore as reptile tanks..

if you really want to go nuts you can walk the tank into a doorknob like i just did

im so ticked off right now i cant even tell if the tank is ok or not

i would take mine up the local tip....infact will be this week. they then, depending on how badly cracked etc the tanks are, can sell them on for whatever they see fit, like i saw an 8ft one up there this time last year, asked how much and the bloke said £10!!! i went home to beg my mum lol but she wasnt having any of it!
but there was no guaruntee it would be water tight etc...but hey what 10quid if u get a perfect 8ft tank lol

Take them to work and throw them in the dumpster when noone is looking:naughty:

Where in Ohio do you live. If you are in or near Cincy I'll come get them. I've got a tank that needs a new top I might try to use for that or I might use on a tortoise I'm thinking about getting. If you do live around here you might want to check out craigslist theres someone with 2 Nimbochromis Venustus for $15 about 5-5 1/2" under general. Also a free koi if you have a pond thats about a foot looks nice. I thought about getting it for mine and I was half way there today and forgot to call the guy. Thats almost and hour for me though.
