I was looking into getting a 180g, and i wanted to set up a awesome community tank, and i have seen tigs and have always loved these guys but there really pricey. And then i saw these guys, jurense cats and i liked them even more than tigs.

What i was wondering is what is the normal price tag on these guys?
Are they as expensive as tigs?
And also could they be kept in a 180g for life?
And i saw the african tiger fish and i loved the way these guys looked and wanted to get one of those two and i was wondering would this be a good combo?
 
No idea about price. They get about 2' so the 180 should be ok.

Though maybe not so good with frontosas as they prefer soft water. And a highly oxygenated aquarium with a massive amount of current.
 
I would say a 18 is a good grow out but eventually a larger tank should be provided they can get over 24'' but usually not in aquariums

Average price for one around 4''-5'' is $80 around here i wouldn't pay over $100 for one 7'' or smaller so much cheaper then tigs

As for the ATF not a bad combo i've seen it done before shouldn't be a problem except tank size

Heres an adult wild one i really doubt any one will grow one to this size in captivity unless in a huge aquarium but still an idea of there size
