Your guy just got "Jumped In" and is on new "Turf"... Would you want to eat Haha??

If he dont eat the following day that you got him, then you might have an unhealthy/sick Juru. These guys are pigs and are known to not eat the first night (Ive had 6 and only 1 ever ate the first night). All ate the next feeding.

Keep testing the water quality, keep the lights off, keep up the water changes and leave him alone for a few days...do not worry about the food.

Most of all give him plenty of places to hide

Normally peaceful fish that are stressed from shipping, should not be introduced into a tank with aggressive cichlids IMO.

Just keep his water clean. I would think that as soon as you reintroduce him though, the cichlid would just beat him up again.

I'm selling the cichlid. As I said, I'm done with them for a very long time.
