If you want him to fatten up fast go with live blood worms. I put mine in a shot glass and sink the shot glass at the bottem of tank. Kinda lay the shot glass at an angle so its easy for him to get inside. If you put it in the shotglass the worms cant get into the substrate and cause water issues.

Didn't want to use my hands, my dog would start stalking me because of the smell.

Definately a senegal. You will become addicted just to let you know. I got jsut 1 to start out with in january, then feburary i got 2 more and a week after that one died, then in the beginning of this month i bought a 7" senegal and a 4" albino senegal from the back of a guys car (craigslist ) so expect to get more
