Just a brief intro...

Nice, but I still won't pay $1,250+ bucks for a turtle. There are other great herps and things I could buy out there with that kind of money! :D

Once they are here its fine. They are not exported from their native land. Thats the loop hole, and thats how alot of animals mainly reptiles get in. Through certain loop holes. Remember that monitor we spoke of yesterday ? Its not allowed out of the phillipine for export, but if taken to indo or something of that sort without anything happening, then its perfectly legal because the paperwork originates from a non native country .

Ok, that's kind of what I figured. I never new how popular this species was until I joined this site. I hope you guys who have them consider breeding them someday.

Thats pretty expensive... for medium flys... there are still some around for roughly $1500.00 for a pair.... at 12-16inches... I'm looking for the biggest ones... and of course the hatchlings, too.

i heard i guy smuggled and FRT into hawaii and paind $2500 for a 2.5-3 inch shell length got caught with it 3years later when it was bigger and he had to put it into a pond in the back yard and well someone saw it and reported him as "keeping a sea turtle in a pond" (people dont know much about reptiles here in hawaii as they are limited in our state...Plus FRT are kindof like freshwater seaturt in a way) so DOA went to check and confiscated a FRT and fined him $125,000 cause it was traced and exported out of asia (thailand i think)...that was one expensive turtle for a three year period of enjoyment. And that was just what DOA did to him im not sure what other departments of local and federal gov't got on his cause and punished him...jail i would imagine even if for a short bid...anywho

scales-n-shells...love the name and lovin that collection welcome aboard
