It didn't take long at all to get them on prepared foods. Our smallest florida gar started taking shirmp practicaly overnight and after we got them off live, we had no trouble getting them to take other things like pellets.

As for the Rhom, he is just about healed up, so be looking for that thread of pics sometime soon!!

it's very easy to get them on pellets. i feed a staple diet of shrimp and mix it up w/ pellets, krill, some insects on occasion, and other stuff. our largest florida gar took over a month to get on prepared foods. i think the smaller they are the easier it is.
