thanks for comments guys. JD is VERY healthy... he eats like a pig. he's roughly a year and a half old and is about 8"

hikari gold and freeze dried krill... lots and lots of krill

whoa that stuff can get expensive.. It shows what it can do for a fish though. I have yet to experiment with krill yet but I am getting 5lbs of frozen krill soon though, hopefully it has the same effect as yours did.
