Bought this fish as a red devil/fh hybrid but it lacks a flowerline but has some nice finnage. Don't know if it just a midevil or something else.

it is definitely a hybrid of some sort . It doesn't look like a midevil to me but I could be wrong . It will be a nice fish in the long run !
Yes thank you I did not directly see midevil but was drawn to it none the less. Wonder what it is hybridized with.
That is understood but check out this thread... http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/f...eed-help-identifying-wild-CICHLID-(1-Viewing). It has a fh/midevil cross and it just looks like a midas. Fh are made from amph genes... So for them to throw a pure looking amph when getting crossed back into an amph kind of makes since. But I have no experience with breeding fh's so I was just going off the thread...
Remember he is a faded fish. As a little guy before he peeled he may have had a flowerline then lost all dark pigment. Just google fader flowerhorn images and you will see what i mean. Nice looking fish.
