Just an update on the Festae

How old are they? Very cool fish

I think I got these in 2008 or early 2009. I could go back and try to figure it out. But off the top of my head I can't remember an exact date.

at what age do you feel they got the old fish tough look at? like just recently or like 3-4 years old? Just trying to get a rough idea of when my Gt might get his old man look going.

Oh yeah probably around that maybe like five years. I had a rather big Green terror once. He started to look like this around 3 or so but it was about 3 or 4 inches when I got him. I may still have a picture of him I'll try to find it

So its not a picture its an old video I had of my male GT .
You can see he was a brawler, Head all banged up. Wish I still had him.

that rivulatus is a stud. did he try spawning with that midas?

Yes they when through all the motions. Of course non of the eggs were ever viable these two can't hybridizes but they were impressive

I assume you are referring to the festae. They are in a 220 divided.The female can pass back and forth. But they are similar enough in size that sometimes the male can squeeze through but it slows him down. Lol
