sux i had real bad luck with the first 3 silvers i bought the 1st one got eaten by my rtc when they both about 2" the second got eaten by the same rtc the day i got it but it was like 8 months later and i didn't think it was going to fit in his mouth when i woke up the next day 1\2 of it was still hanging out of his mouth and the 3rd one jumped out of the tank. that was about 3 years ago :shakehead live and learn and go back to the lfs with your credit card :headshake

sorry bout your loss it sucks dont it

A note - almost all wild-caught silvers still bearing a yolk sac have been obtained through decapitation of an orally brooding adult (which tend to swallow whatever young they may have been bearing if netted) - typically via machete or the like.

you see that fish in my avatar THAT MY BABY!!! i grew him from 5 inches to a monster 26inches, unfortunetly that tank is sick he hasent eat in days and im very worried i dont know what is wrong with him and my other fish, my dad says they scratch against the gravel. He live at my dads house and i dont visit their very often anymore and he does a ****ty job taking care of him and he calls himself a "Aquarist" which is bull****. I do stop by every weekend to change the water and do maintanence. Looks like i might have to bring him with me when i get (i hope ) my new tank. The first step would be to diagnose and treat whatever is ailing my tank. maybe i might just give back my other fish after theyre better and just keep the arow that way i can focus all my attention on him. For 3 years ive had him.
