Did you research further on discus before you got this one? I suggest you read more on discus because you are starting with discus the wrong way. This is not an opinion but a fact to consider. Your discus may look better because most of the time, store tanks are in high traffic areas therefore stressing the fish. You may have done the right setup for the fish but your tank is extremely overcrowded and inappropriately stocked as well. I would not be surprised if your discus ends up stunted in the process which is typical for those kept in overcrowded tanks, inadequate water changes, inadequate feedings, etc.

I'm adding this link as a good starting point.
Are you thinking about trying discus...

what happens if i dont do water changes? does he die? kinda too late i didnt read anything before i bought it. cant afford a bigger tank

The fish will be eventually stunted and will suffer for a long time to health issues as a result of that. This can be indicated by disproportionately large eyes, football shape and stress bars on the fish. You really need another tank no smaller than a 55g and get it at least three more companions (from your local breeders, not the LFS).

I hate to say it this discus sounds like it is not long for this world.
This is the sad truth if nothing better can be done to the discus yet.:(

the frozen brineshrimp i get are realy good my discus love them and imo its a whole lot of goodnesss

Brine shrimp are mostly water and indigestable material. Look it up. Waste of money and stomach space. Bloodworms are a step above brine shrimp but PE Mysis and beefheart mixtures will blow brine shrimp away any day.

I can't reccomend PE Mysis enough http://www.mysis.com/
