Saranac Lake, NY
I got this, about 20-25 pounds of live rock(fiji and branch rock), heater, live sand, That mini skimmer(better than nothing), etc. It was a long trip, so the people were nice enough to pack my love rock into buckets, and I got prob 10 gallons of free saltwater lol. Its a start to a bigger aquarium.

Heres my questions:
How long do I need to cycle it?(does the preexisting water from their systems help?)

Im will probably buy livestock online. What are some good websites?
Its starting to get cold down here.(Upstate NY) Will it be safe tp shiP?

Thx

Ps. The place I got this from was Caribbean Forest in Rochester,Ny
Any1 been there?

What kind of filters do you have? You will probably want a HOB and or a canister to cause current.. Or get a small powerhead.. The live rock and live sand will help the cycling process... You can get 2 small damsels to help it to.. Get a test kit and test it daily and watch it go through the cycle before you add more expensive fish. May be cheaper to buy fish from a LFS.. What kind of lighting does it have, may limit you to FO or polpys only.

A aquapod is a all in one marine system. I has like a inside tank sump in it. I have a reef test kit. No worries I did my research on tons of things, just not on online shipping of fishes.

Okay, awesome. Photos would be nice. No LFS around? I will try to find some good online stores. I forget the name on top of my head.

All I have is a camera on my phone. Dont have the cord to connect it to the computer srry.

:( Thats to bad, would have liked to see it.

First of to send pictures to your email from your phone send a picture text to your email address. I have had a 24 gallon aquapod for 3 years and have a lot of info. I will type that after work.

Ok this is going to be brief. Your tank will get hot hot hot. Open the little hood door for most off the day and if you feal you can use a knife well enough cut the little slots oout of the hood all the way. Also there is a little black plastic thing covering the overflo/sump take that out. The fish jump back there and land on that and die, its better to have them jump into the sump where you can net them out later. Also the glass SCRATCHES really easy treat it like plastic not glass. Also the lights are great for bubble tip anemones ( have unbleached many of them in my tank) they dont really need anything and are a good first step into reef just put it in a few months after its up and runing. I have heard bad things about the nano skimmer, but it is the only one for that tank and nothing else will work. Please let me know if it does work as I need a protien skimmer and dont want to risk breaking the back by drilling it. Also it only comes with two bio balls and a sponge, put Chemi-pure elite in it and do weekly water changes. OK let me know if you need anymore help with your aquapod. and would you like me to post pics of mine? I dont want to steal your thread.
