at my lfs a 3-4in is $55
couple weeks ago i bought one 1inches for $14.99
it is currently eating bloodworms and Hikari Tropical food sticks, flakes and dried shrimps
it is currently 3+inches

I was reading this tread over and i had the same problem
i first got 3 babys one grew more quickly and ate the other two one on a tursday and one on a friday on the same week
and a couple days the green terrors and pink convicts attacked him and ate him
i ordered a divider from amazon and i bought 1 more arowana and its fine this is the one i currently have

Post-yolk silvers are the best part of 100 bucks around here.
5&6" are over 200- and they sell like hot-cakes. Every chinese restaurant has a 100 or 150Gal with 2, then 1, then none, then 2 new ones, then one, ...etc... They kill each other or jump or otherwise croak after a couple of weeks/months. Long-term husbandry isn't a big part of the programme. I keep thinking there might be a few bucks in tank-maintenance around here.
