Just bought a Baby Gar...not a true Gar..lol

He is silver and only about 4 inches.. since i am totally new to Gars i need some info.... impulse purchase.. he was so cute.... thanks in advance... oh his pics will be up soon....

if you got a true gar, it's most likely a florida gar, the stickies have most of the info you need to successfully house one, and basic info on them, if you have more specific questions i'd do my best to answer them

Looks like a hujeta gar to me. They're not true gars, but are actually characins. I think they get around 10-12" long.
