haha alright lets hope he does okay, hes moving more now just looking around scaring the other fishes but i think they grew to like him as well.. HAHA probably gonan be his snack later =D
 
so i noticed with the tank light off he comes higher up in the tank rather then staying low, are they nocturnal?

i realise dimmer lights work well on small aros:)
 
sounds good i turned off the tank light and turned on the light from the room but yeah hes still not at the top yet... is he scared of the other fishes? cause those ones are at the top almost all the time
 
Totally normal my friend, keeping the lights off helps keep the stress down and acclimate them faster. It took my baby jar almost a month to start swimming around and eating aggressively.
 
so yeah hes more chilled out now goes to top of tank and just chilling guy looks bored though ahaha anyways i was wondering i can feed him cichild pellets? um another question is, is it safe to throw in a algae eater cause they clean up the tank =D

cichlid pellets are good..try feeding Hikari bio-gold pellets..

as for the algae eater..i think its fine as a tankmate...but, as for being good at "cleaning up the tank"? ...i don't think so..IME: they tend to cause more of a mess then cleaning the tank ..they're costantly eating, so they're constantly pooping also..think about it ;)
