Just bought my 61" tv yeeee!!

I know how you feel man! I just bought a 52" Samsung 52A650 LCD. I couldn't help it, I wanted the LCD. I picked up the PS3 to get the full experience too. It's a $3700 tv, but that's not what I paid. I kept my Best Buy job for just one day a week so I could buy stuff like this!

Thx!! Sounds like a nice tv. Just went into best buy to check ou the bluray players and HDMI cables. this stuff gets expensive

anybody got recommendations for good cables at a decent price?

hmm I think my parents got theirs from best buy and they payed around 75 for the cables. Not sure of the brand, they just got a panasonic blu-ray player for 199 it was on sale.

thats not bad for a bluray. im wondering if a PS3 would be worth it just for a bluray player since i dont play video games. ive heard that they're the best bluray player out there...thoughts?

anybody know if all HDMI cables are made equal? Are some brands better than others or is just a cable a cable? They have some on eBay for cheap when theyre like almost $100 at retail stores

Look on ebay or something for HDMI cables. The cable I got (Monster M Series) goes for $235. You can find it cheaper on line.

I would go with the PS3, I don't really play games either, but it's easy to use, you get a 40 gig hard drive, and if you ever want to, you CAN play a game. Most Blu-Ray players go for about as much as the PS3, so you may as well get the extra features for your money.

No, not all cables are created equal. To make a long story short, you get what you pay for. It really depends on the capabilities of your tv. If you have high res (1080P) and high contrast ratio (like mine, 50,000:1) and a fast frame rate processor (120Hz), then you'll want to get a high end cable. It will compliment the capabilities of your tv.
