Just came home to an almost empty tank

That's a nice looking tank. I would rent a big shampooer and the reason is the water was probably dirty fish water.

The apartment complex had
A professional carpet guy come out, extract the water and leave 2 big fans to dry... They are not sure if we will have to move the 200 or not, but they will be coming back by tomorrow afternoon to check out the carpet they could get to and decide if the tank needs to be moved... I already moved the 55 that was next to it and I'm a little scared on what the leasing office is going to have to say to me when I call them.... They suggested not to fill the tank back up... Should I just leave an airstone in the tank overnight? What should I do with all of my filter media?

Put your filter media in a bucket of tank water. Just don't let it dry out. I hope it gets resolved quickly and painlessly.

I just filled the tank back up and the motor on my fx5 is dead, probably burned out from not having water in it for so long(gotta love the motor being on the bottom) the Eheim 2262 still works at least, so I'm going to go but some PVC fittings to put on the intake and output so that this doesn't happen again. Maintenance says we will need to move the tank, but the fish weren't doing so well, so I will drain it when the time comes. Most of the living room carpet is dried out now, which is a plus
