Im starting an all Mexican cichlid tank and I started off by placing a small personal order with Mr. Rapps. This is the 3rd time ordering with him and Ive had nothing but positive results every time. I placed the order on Friday for shipment today and have since called back 3X to add to the order.. I know that I will need to do at least 1 more order from him in order to complete my little collection, and thankfully I have a couple of MFK friends in the area that are going to contribute as well. Ill keep you all updated upon their arrival with pictures and whatnot. Might hafta start a new thread in the media lounge....

Its being shipped today for arrival tomorrow.....

Oh yeah, contents... They are:
2pcs. C. Beani
3pcs. H. Carpintis
3pcs. T. Maculipinnis

Should go for some of the T. pasiones he has, and when the Herichthys deppii become available, jump on those too! Great fish!

Sounds like an awesome tank already. Best of luck sir! :) Hope you are stocked up on veggie foods for the first few weeks, unless you got some larger sized beani.

Yeah I was gonna go the pasiones route at first but I decided to get the macs because I wanted all the first arrivals to be near the same size. The pasiones he has are only like an inch or so so I passed on them. For sure on the deppi and some labridens when they become available.
As a matter I am ready to go with the veggie food. I want avoid any bloat as much as I can. Although in my experience, when I have raised small bloat prone cichlids in a planted or semi planted tank, I have only lost 1, and that was a little hait, due to a heater malfunction.
Thanks for the feedback Jer. As I only am able to keep 1 tank I have been pikeless for a year or so. Too bad there are no crenicichla native to Mexico.....

Yeah, I hear ya on the size issue. That is very smart though to keep them the same size. Gonna be a stellar tank for sure!!! I am looking forward to seeing pictures of your masterpiece. :)

Yeah, Crenicichla are pretty much limited to SA. Hahaha. You do what makes you happy though bro! :headbang2
