South Central...
Well it seems we have quite a few fellow herp owners on here who know a thing of two about their pets. I was just curious to know what species you all have successfully been able to breed over the years. Bringing home an animal that laid eggs or whatever doesn't count! :grinno: You can also tell us your future plans too.

Herps I have breed or still attempting to breed:

North American Wood Turtle (Clemmys insculpta)
Eastern Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina carolina)
Gulf Coast Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina major)
Three-toed Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina triunguis)
Eastern Painted Turtle (Chrysemys picta picta)
Midland Painted Turtle (Chrysemys picta marginata)
Eastern Mud Turtle (Kinosternon subrubrum)
Stinkpot Musk Turtle (Sternotherus odoratus)

Plumed Basilisk (Basiliscus plumifrons)
Brown/Striped Basilisk (Basiliscus vittatus)

Green Anole (Anolis carolinesis)
Brown Anole (Anolis sagrei)
Leopard Gecko (Eublepharis macularius)
African Fat-tailed Gecko (Hemitheconyx caudicinctus)
Tokay Gecko (Gekko gecko)

Golden Gecko (Gekko ulikovskii)
Mediterranean Gecko (Hemidactylus turcicus)

Asian House Gecko (Hemidactylus species)
Giant Day Gecko (Phelsuma madagascariensis grandis)
Gold Dust Day Gecko (Phelsuma laticauda laticauda)

American Toad (Bufo americanus)
Northern Green Frog (Rana clamitans melanota)
Northern Leopard Frog (Lithobates pipiens)
American Green Tree Frog (Hyla cinerea)
African Clawed Frog (Xenopus laevis)

Gold Dust Day Geckos are the only ones i have tried to breed and it worked pretty well with on male and one female in a 29 gal.

What's up vice, haven't seen you in a while. Gold Dusts were the easier of the two day gecko species I had to breed. The P. laticauda laticauda I had were very territorial and I lost a female once to my aggressive male.

Yeah that is a pretty good list, but most of the animals on it are natives to where I live. I use to drive my parents nuts with all this stuff! :D

Plenty of finicky fish I've bred but no herps yet.

Future plans are:
Leachies
Crested Gecko's
Pueblan Milk Snakes
Possibly leo's.

Nice, I would love to keep and breed both Leachies and Cresties someday.

I'm working with a pair of Python breitensteini which has been locked up on and off since January and which is currently mating after a week-long break and a nice storm system that just rolled through last night :)

But other than that, I've bred plenty of Rattus norvegicus and a few Mus musculus, as well as Gambusia affinis and when I was eight, I had a pair of Sceloporus undulatus which laid eggs but since we had no clue the female was gravid, we didn't provide them with a nest site so the eggs were laid in the water and drowned.

I breed
dendrobates leucomelas
dendrobates tinctorius Cobalts
dendrobates tinctorius Azureus
Imitators
Green and black auratus
Ancon hill auratus

My one friend wants to start breeding dart frogs. Any suggestions on a good, colorful species to start with? I told him that I though Dendrobates leucomelas were the easiest to care for.

That's a beautiful python species, got any pics?

I've never seen one but we have Sceloporus undulatus native in my state. I've always wanted to get a few, breed them and release them on my property.

Yeah I actually took a few pics of my female the other day:

And here's the male--these were taken in the fall. He's been in shed lately so no new pics.
