I've thought about keeping fence lizards again, but I'd want to do it in a big tank set up as some sort of dry, rocky vivarium. One day....

Nice snakes! I love their coloration.

If I was to keep fence lizards I think I would build them a big outdoor enclosure with logs and a big rock pile in the middle. Maybe put up plexiglass sides so they couldn't climb out. But then I would have to worry about birds of prey. It's still a work in progress.

Mine's kinda breaking the rules but I'll mention it anyway.

I had a pair of albino corns that unexpectantly bred for me. I mention it because I did have the intention of breeding them...just not so soon! In any case, the female laid 10 eggs, and I incubated them accordingly. They all hatched out in perfect health.

And as some of you know, I'm planning to breed my house snakes next year. Soooo looking forward to it.

^ Hey I count that as a successful attempt at breeding your snakes. It's funny when they do that kind of stuff behind your back. Then one day you go to check on your pets and there is extra, much smaller one in there! That's happened to me a few times with different gecko species.

In my past reptile days, I bred spotted pythons, leopard geckos, and i also bred mali uromastiyx. I am currently trying to breed yellow foot and red foot tortoises just have to wait on my females to be of age. As far as rats and mice done those too, Also had a pair of love birds breed.

I always wanted to get a Uromastiyx, how hard are they to breed? And good luck with your yellow and red foots. I saw some nice adults for sale for pretty cheap at the reptile show I was at recently.

Well if we're are counting mammals and birds too then my list is bigger. I've breed Dwarf and Rex rabbits, Mallards, Ringneck Pheasants, Chuckar Partridges, Bobwhite Quail. I've also bred Homing, Tumbler and Roller Pigeons.

Mali's are no harder than Beardies, really they are easier. Males dont fight with the females if she isnt ready to breed where beardies will. They do need to be hot and i mean hot like 130f. Also the babies will eat greens as soon as the yoke is used up. You need to cool them to around 40f for about a month then gradually warm them to the high temp. You have to simulate the wet season. Where north africa gets cooler when it rains in central africa. As far as the tortioses I missed my window this winter, I was a little more focused on dog orented stuff. I have to imports from the congo awaiting to go to finland later this month.

My one friend wants to start breeding dart frogs. Any suggestions on a good, colorful species to start with? I told him that I though Dendrobates leucomelas were the easiest to care for.
dendrobates tinctorius Azureus are the easyiest. the Leucs are also petty easy to start with, but i like the blue on the Azureus better though.

i plan on getting a female for my male mountian horn dragon (Acanthosaura capra) to breed with.

my beardeds were good little money makers and i kept some local shops full of them and leos.GTPs once and later lost the male, needed money so i sold the female. That was long ago, lol.Ive still got the book on them somewhere.I want to breed rosys some day.And bts would be cool.I love the thought of live birth.
