Here's one I caught in my gar trap off my boat/fishing dock. He was skinny and had a few parasites, but he healed up and fattened up just fine:

actually luesic and albino morphs of LMB are pretty rare. I was lucky enough to see one
not the rarest but quite uncommon

what lake you live ny

My backyard ends on Horseshoe Lake in Mer Rouge, LA. We have a fishing deck and boat house.

Thanks for reminding me. I saved a pic of a leucistic LMB and a erythristic morph:

My grandfather had a small one in his one pond about 12 years ago. unfortunatly i was 8 at the time and didnt really know what it was. If i had know i would have kept it. it was about 4 in. pond was going dry and we had to move alot of the fish over a small spring fed pond to save as many as we could. havnt seen it since

The website lists it as LMB. But, it looks like a SMB to me, too.
