mine is starting to have one now damn plecos are slacking noticed it today when i did a water change you could always add some plecos to the tanks they like algae but make sure they dont get lazy like mine

green water is different from the algae thats attached to the tank it is in the water and is hard to control if the conditions in the tank are not correct
 
Even a 4watt UV will clear that up, I use one on my 135 to stop it, It takes about a day for me to see it clear with the 4 watt, it isn't enough to kill parasites but my issue was green water not parasites or bacteria so the 4 watt was a cheap fix that didn't kill my plants. :thumbsup:
 
What is the base level of nitrates in your tap water? If it is signifigantly lower than your tank do a thorough gravel cleaning and clean out you filter housings, also check for any dead vegetation. Adding fast growing plants will also help.
