I just got 2 EBJD from LFS for $20ea good deal? they are maybe 2 inches each... prolly just 1.5 but he gave them to me half off because he said their colors werent as bright as they should be... is that a problem? or can i fix by feeding color enhancers?

if they are dark.. i mean very very dark.. that would mean it they are stress for a long time and most likely internal infection... check to see if they are eating and if their poop is white transparent color..... From experience i dont recommend poeple getting Dark color EBJDs.. also.. ebjds smaller than 3" But i have a 2.5 in myself.....
Color enhancers.. just feed the a good diet..

alright, i will upload a couple of pics, and they arent so much dark i dont think... just not very blue
well... they are being camera shy and hiding, but the male looks very good i think. bold colors with some black on him... the female looks kinda light but she has blue on her alot

Also.. dont listen to what LFS tell you about coloration on male and female.. cuz its NEVER true.. lighter color and dark color are not ways to distinguish male and female.. and normal differentation of Jack Dempseys sexing do not apply to EBJDs...
Only time and maturality of the EBJDs will tell you the sex of each individual...
