I got some of that Quikrete fine sand and washed it and put some in and my tank is soooo cloudy!! After ur done washing it, not left with much as when u started its soo fine it washes away.

That's the goal, to get rid of as much during the washing process as you can. I buy 100 lbs if I want to end up with 75 lbs. If particles are small enough to escape the washing process, they are small enough to stay suspended in the water column and get picked up by your filters. This can kill your filter. If I were you I would kill the filter, do a water change, turn the filter back on. Do it again tomorrow if it hasn't already settled.
