This topic makes me very angry. This is the whole reason why I started up my business KARS (Kelly's Aquatic Rescue Services). I am a firm believer that any pet deserves the best in life. No matter if they are deformed or not. Sometimes a person needs to look past a deformaty to see the real beauty. Also, as an angefish breeder myself (FinnedFriends), I do not cull my angels if they are deformed. That would be cruel. I have enough space and tanks that I can keep a "odd" tank or two of fish that aren't sellable. I have enough family and friends with tanks that like the odd fish because they are different and people would not want them, that makes them even more special. If they by chance breed, the eggs just aren't saved. Still doesn't mean they shouldn't have the right to live. It is like any creature on this earth..the only way something should die is if it is suffering. Not because they look ugly. I would be there in a heartbeat to give these angelfish a great home, because they do deserve that...if only I didnt' live so far away.

Exactly, but it still doesn't mean that they should be killed because of the deformaties they do have. If they are not in any stress, it is just a "look" issue. If someone can't handle the way that they "look" and think that they should be killed because they are ugly, then they don't deserve to have them. A deformed fish is just unique. A three legged dog is just unique. A cat with no tail is just unique. A human that lost a limb is just unique. Still don't mean they don't have a right to live. Do the right thing and find a home that will love them. By putting a poll together asking strangers should I kill a fish just by the way it looks is wrong in my opinion. But that is what this is...just my opinion.

yes i do have problems i have trouble walking some days and i have trouble brathing if i work to hard but that doesnt matter to me
i do things in my unique way because i have trouble bending over i pick things put with my feet like a monkey
i have a friend that has no arms and he does the same things except he eats with his feet,smokes with his feet,puts on his clothes with his feet,everything
it doesnt affect his quality of life
as far as the angelfish being deformed well if it doesnt affect their quality o life ither keep them or give them to some one who will
i know people wih major face deformaties and that makes them no diferent to me
people are scared of them and say awful things to them but just because they are diffent doesnt mean they should be put to death
i'm sorry for the rant but just some examples every person i've stated is a friend of mine and they all have good lives they just do things differently they might not seem normal to you but they are wondeful people to me
the powers that be made them what they are just like those angelfish
if you think they would survive shipping i'll take them so you dont have to look at how "disgusting" they are
If I had the money for shipping I would have had them shipped to me the first day I saw the post. I just hope they do go to someone who will see their real beauty too. Thanks for the story Carny......people see what they want to see in all living things. Instead of what they should be seeing.

I am glad to read compassion ! I still have them and I am looking for a home for them.
