Not sure what KH/GH is but the water is supposed to be "medium hard". Dont have any number to give you. I've only had him for 3 days so I know it's early but I'm comparing him to my alligator gar which has never resisted any food.

Just tested NH3 and it's 10 mg/l which is second lowest on the test.
If your getting ammonia, NH3, that's not a good sign. Was this a new tank?
Lots of frequent water changes to help keep this low.
Nose looks pretty bent. Pray it straightens up a little but I do not think it will fully straighten up.
Dark imo is good, the colors of his tail should be defined, and he should be darker on top like a nice deep olive green and shades of silver to the belly. Just like a fish shoudln't be "washed" out they shouldn't be "black" either.. the tail should give you a good idea if he's just settling in or is "darkening"

NO3 is between 0 and 10 mg/l, so not perfect but a bit better. Daily wc about 20%. I've just ordered a new filter, but that wont come for a week or two.
