You deff cant house a asian rtc with anything else...they are down right beligerant....and a 6' round pond simply wont be enough space in the long run in my opinion...a 10' round would be better.
 
this kinda suck know im afraid he is going to beat the hell out of my koi in my basement pond :(

The first thing that comes to mind for this- INTEX POOL.
 
You know I keep hearing how ARTC are aggressive-Id like to hear that from people who actually own them and have not just read or heard about it. I currently have my 10-12 inch ARTC with a CK, Aro, Emperor Cichlid, and others to name a few and have yet to see any aggression. As a matter of fact my ARTC could eat my Emperor and TSN yet he doesnt even glance at them just swims by. LOL-he actually chills in a cave with my CK.
Anyways not saying what you all state is false. I would just like to hear experiences from owners who have raised one to adult.
 
I know when we are talking catfish and cichlids-its apples and oranges. But for years people would tell me you couldnt keep a Male Umbee and Dovii in the same tank let alone a 240 gallon-lol-I did that with little to no problems. Bottom line is every fish have their own personality and as long as you have an Emergency plan I say why not atleast try.
