IN YOUR HEAD
i just got offerd atleast $200 for my 24"+ silver aro...if i sold it i would use that money to buy more baby aros for a comunity project....should i sell? i am mixed as this aro was my first aro and my first monster...i don't know if i will as i have grown attatched to it...what do you guys think?

I say sell.. only because Silver arowana isn't worth that much at that size... People dont make offers that big.. especially this economy...

Also.. know that you're a successful arowana keeper and there are more silvers out there.. if the other person you're selling it to have a big enough tank for it for life... than yes.. sell it..

Otherwise.. its better in ur hands...

I dont know. That is a crap ton of $ for a silver. You most likely wont get another offer like that. But then again, that aro makes your tank, in my opinion. It's a nice center piece for it. So...ehh, I dont know. I didnt vote.

I'd sell. I've often wonder about this with my pair of 27"ers. I'd let the pair go for $400.

If you have grown attached to it, its priceless but its your call

hummm.....this guy has a 600gal with 2 silvers and some rays now and there is no large silvers here in mn up for sale so thats the high bid...i also ran into this guy before about 2 weeks ago and he was asking about large silvers at the lfs that i was at...now he was at my friends store that he works at and asked him about them...my friend was there at the other lfs when i ask the lfs owner what he'd give me for it... so when the guy asked my friend if he knew of any, mine got brought up witch puts me here now... i have a baby silver(it killed the other one) now that i just got so i have a start on the new comunity...though i am torn as it seems to be so far in the replys...i have had it for almost a year since it was 3"...it is like chosing to get hit in the face with a bat or kicked in the nuts...i love the fish and that is enough for me to get like 8 or more babies...

Take the offer and get another. Ive found with fish, it sucks to let them go after youve had them a long time, but doesnt take too long to get over it when you get a new one to raise ;)

you're from minnesota? $200 for your arowana is a good price but not something you would give up though. I myself have 3 25 inch silver arowana that i too grew so attach to. i would n't give them up easily...but it's your call....
