Take the offer and get another. Ive found with fish, it sucks to let them go after youve had them a long time, but doesnt take too long to get over it when you get a new one to raise ;)

you're from minnesota? $200 for your arowana is a good price but not something you would give up though. I myself have 3 25 inch silver arowana that i too grew so attach to. i would n't give them up easily...but it's your call....

ya, i live in minnesota...my friend didn't get the guys number, but i told him to get it incase i do end up selling...

i have thought about getting a blue/black aro...i think i my wait till i do my project first though...i am going to try to breed silvers amoung others and this one plus the baby i have was my start...if i do sell i would get like 8 or more silvers to try to get a breeding group...then off the sales of the babies from my spawnnings get blacks to try the same....then jars and leis ect...but that is far far down the road yet...though the silvers project is already underway...i guess my main deal is i got this silver for me and not originally for resale...if i got it for resale i wouldn't be in the spot i am now...that and i would have to build a second pond for the baby aros i would get cause they would last long with the cats in the tank now, that will go into my pond i am building...:nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly:

if you're not too sentimental about it, sell it. it's a high offer for a silver aro.

Time to venture into a silver com.

the more i think about it the more i think i will sell...the idea of my being able to get a com. of 8-10 silvers sounds bad ass and that would give me the best chance to get some pairs for breeding...instead of adding a few more to my existing aros...if i can get the guys number before he changes his mind i think i will do it...yesterday i was so torn, but after squating on it for a night i feel better about the sale possibilty...thanx to all for your imput...

here's an idea buy a unwanted 24" for cheap and sell to ur buyer. a lot of people get rid of them when they are 18"+ they dont have the tank

that would work were there is an abundance of aros and people that can't care for them like i have seen in ca...every day someone has a large one for sale...here in MN i have seen 2 aros for sale outside of a lfs in the last 5yrs...

hey would be interested in picking up a large 15+ Jardini? My friend has a brother in MN and supposedly it is in a 55 gallon =(

how big is your tank? As you have plans on breading aro's...i don't think you will be able to bread aros in a tank...
